Duct Duck Goose

This morning I thought of a weird scheme that people could easily do and then realized it would be fun to make a story of it.

Here’s what I’ve got so far:

A burned out writer turned air duct specialist comes up with a get rich quick scheme.

His junkie girlfriend goes to look at apartments for rent and pretends to be interested in the units. She says that she’d want the air ducts checked out first before moving in- she refers him to an “air duct specialist” in the area, aka her boyfriend.

They make $ off each apartment and she never moves in. After realizing they can do this on a larger scale, they start renting Airbnb units and creating fake rental listings for them collecting $ off application fees.
